Professional Research Assistant

Lenissa grew up in the islands of the Philippines before moving to California where she attended Palomar College. She then completed her undergraduate degree in General Biology from University of California San Diego where she received training in insect molecular biology and genetics while working as a laboratory assistant. She worked as a STEM Education Outreach Specialist with CREATE (Center for Research on Educational Equity, Assessment & Teaching Excellence) before starting as a PRA in the Eichel lab. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting with art and painting science.
